Past Life Reading: I can give you the pieces that I have, but you’re ultimately going to need to find the other pieces within you and put them together. I need to really begin by sharing how I feel the world was long, long ago. I like to say before time, as the earth was learning to express itself (the dawn of creation), things were not so physical. Some of us alive now, were conscious then, although likely in a different form; a different expression of our ancient consciousness. Some of us, not so much. Elements are forms of energy with consciousness, perhaps we were and are not so different than the wind, the fire, the earth, and the sea. Perhaps you were not so different than the Ocean at one time. You are in fact, beginning to rediscover your depths. I must tell you, however, that there is pain left over this, and that is the likely reason the readings I attempted on the matter are not coming out as detailed as we’d like. This whole Dec. 2012 thing is a time of release, healing, and transcending forward with ourselves, so there is a lot of ‘coming to terms’ going around. Especially with past life ‘stuff’ we’ve all been holding onto. So with all that in mind, here goes: Page of Swords, Two of Pentacles, Seven of Wands, Ace of Pentacles, Four of Cups. And this is how I see it: You were (and part of you still is) an elemental spirit. You were part of a kingdom, and one of ‘the chosen’ ones within that kingdom. You existed and chose earth to express yourself in incredible ways and had (have) a very special purpose here. (That purpose is way beyond the scope of this particular reading; you will remember if you learn to quietly ask and accept that part of yourself.) Your consciousness was a little young compared to the great mother earth and some of the other entities, be they elemental or not, and you were to learn much from them, as they from you. But you became distracted, and the natural order of the world, with which you were an important part of, experienced dissonance. Did you fall in love with someone from another kingdom? Or did you fall in love with the kingdom itself? This is neither good nor bad, it just was, remember that, and do not harbor guilt. But the others were afraid of change, and there was a great quarrel. You could no longer maintain balance between the two worlds. You made a choice to keep the peace, and started anew. But you always regretted not following your curious heart. From the cards, it looks like you were of the earth, and fell in love with the sea. A mermaid? The Lord of the Sea (the Greeks gave him the name Poseidon) would welcome you anytime, and reminds you that you are a part of his Kingdom too. He has much to teach you about a part of yourself that goes on denied. Keep in mind that these themes repeat themselves throughout subsequent lifetimes unless we heal them with self-love and move on to experience new things. I hope this gives you something to start with. You are called to meditate on the subject and remember. I am only called to spark your memory into some form of motivation.

Spiritual Path: The High Priestess, Three of Pentacles, The Empress, King of Cups, Ace of Wands.

The High Priestess; great card! You’ve been delving into spiritual practices and actually trying things out. Things that are working, if even just a little. You are discovering parts of you inner self and learning what they do as part of you, and what they need (what you need) that you may have not known before now. Many of these aspects are referred to as the shadow self. You will be confronted with seemingly debilitating and deep-seeded fears. Remember that fear is an emotion which you assign to those things, face those parts with unconditional love and feel them dissolve as you reclaim your totality of being. You do not have to go your spiritual path alone. There is a desire for guidance and assistance. Remember that in all things, you are ultimately responsible for the steps that you take, so take with a grain of salt; temper the advice you get. What is healthy is to be part of a like-minded community that is open to you, and will offer you support. Others, myself included, can be part of that community, but I feel that you have a need for the face-to-face interaction, so don’t discount that. You have done a lot of research and heard a lot of what others have to say about spirituality, this is always a good starting point. A lot of what you are hearing and doing is leading you to where you want to be. Just beware of letting any one philosophy becoming your religion or gospel. To do so would be to limit yourself, who is by nature, a limitless being, and would therefore bring eventual unhappiness. The King of Cups came up in the position of others’ influence on your path, so I definitely get the Poseidon/God of the Sea influence showing up here. I will be doing one more reading attached to this about that specifically, so I will be brief here. Could it be that you are spiritually related to the Ocean? The Ocean is an entity you know. As you get to know yourself more and more, you are discovering some parts of yourself that are governed by the masculine aspects of the Ocean. Here is where a man may get in touch with much of his inner emotion, and getting to know that part of your self will reveal an incredible source of wisdom. You are being aided, as you are connected to the Sea, by the Lord of the Ocean. He will be an incredible guide in assisting you in finding your inner source of wisdom, strength, and power. Some men find their power in their physical body, their passions, or their logic; but few of us ever find ourselves in our emotional/spiritual connections. As men, we are taught that this is the strength of women so we often just don’t look there. The universe is not so black-and-white. More in your last reading about your past life. Your outcome is the Ace of Wands. This is just telling you that you’re exploring newfound parts of yourself. The cycle of spiritual growth begins with new discoveries. Keep moving forward and these new (and sometimes mysterious) discoveries will show you things about yourself and the world that you would never expect. You have a talent to go into your inner ‘mystery’ and bring with you your passion to light the way. This talent can become an adversary, however, if you don’t let the mystery be (somethings, especially spiritual in nature, are best left not fully understood, but just felt.) A lesson you will soon be learning is to bring your inner mysteries into your normal world (perhaps a necessity for the career you want); learning that the physical and mundane is made up of the spirit world and just an interpretation. You will be learning how to reinterpret things without relying on the mind and masculine aspects as much.

Since I’m getting the feeling that you’ve got a lot of the water element, I wanted to share this Tibetan Buddhist Chant. It’s quite common and is associated with the water element (so I’ve read.) I use it a lot and I find it quite peaceful. The words are: Om Mani Padme Hum. It is a prayer for compassion; compassion for the self, in order to spread compassion to our surrounding world. Google it and check out what others have to say. It helps you focus on self-compassion with the inner power of the water element.

Career Path: Knight of Swords, King of Swords, Nine of wands, Page of Pentacles, Ten of Swords.

Allow me to say that all of the answers you need come from within yourself, and never outside; for all the information we seek outside ourselves, is but a reflection of our inner world, our own interpretation of things. It is a reader’s job then, to help you see what’s already there; that which is hidden, denied, and sometimes blatantly ignored. But that’s enough of the generalities. The cards indicate confusion, imbalance, and in some instances, denial of certain aspects of the self. There are three out of five court cards, two of which are aspects of your self. This indicates indecision and lack of coming to balance.  The card that represents you currently is the Knight of Swords. Ready to sacrifice your emotional needs to get where you think you want to go; pay close attention to your emotions at this time, they have a message for you about your career choices, and all you need to do is to ask to find out what’s to be said. You already have an idea of what you want for your career, but you have yet to work out the details. You are sometimes also the King of Swords, and this card shows you have the power to work out the details, you just have to be willing to set aside time to do it. Set aside hours, and it will still take you days and even months until you have balanced your inner world to make that dynamic career decision happen. This is the process of creating your own path; it is a lot of work, but if you don’t ensure that it’s yours you’ll be hard-pressed to find your happiness. The King of Swords also shows that you have good talents for the career you would like to pursue, but you must stay in touch with the other aspects of yourself. The logical process means nothing without emotions, passions, and desires to be expressed. (Beware of overthinking things without tempering your logic with body, heart, and spirit.) The Nine of Wands shows that you have looked inside yourself, but that you haven’t gone deep enough, spent enough time, and interacted enough to balance your inner decision yet. It’s telling us that you’re not done; that you haven’t created the inner balance to pursue that goal yet. But it’s also telling you that you’re very close, and that you’re on the path that will lead you to that balance (peace.) This gets into the next reading so I’ll leave this part here and refer to the reading of the spiritual path. The Page of Pentacles is in the position of others’ influence on the situation; on your decision. Just keep in mind that everyone is willing to give you their opinions, but you’re the one who has to live with your decision; you’re responsible for your own happiness. And guess what, an unstable economy, a competitive market, and living with ups and downs is probably with any career. I understand that some are worth more than others, but you have to be ultimately responsible for the sacrifice of the perception of relative possible stability in order to do what your heart, mind, body, and soul desires. So keep that in mind when others want to weigh in on your plans. In the outcome position, you have the Ten of Swords. Traditionally a very depressing card, I feel that it is trying to tell you to just stop thinking about it. Look at all the swords (air/mental aspects) cards in your reading. Start feeling about your decision. Balance the two. This is a time to fall, give in to the lessons this process is bringing you. You are not yet ready for the sacrifices required to make this leap in your career, but you’re close. Do not despair or you will lose your progress. You are what you make yourself out to be, just be aware that that requires careful preparation often sacrifices that can be painful. You have a mighty work ahead of yourself, and you have the mental fortitude to do so; this is your strength, use it wisely.
